What is vestibular rehab?
Vestibular rehabilitation treats dizziness, vertigo, and balance problems that come from the inner ear or how your brain processes movement information. We use specific maneuvers (like the Epley for BPPV), gaze stabilization exercises, habituation training, and balance work — matched carefully to what's actually causing your symptoms. For BPPV, many patients see resolution in 1–2 sessions. More complex vestibular conditions can take a structured 6–12 week program.
Common conditions we treat
- Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)
- Vestibular neuritis or labyrinthitis
- Vestibular hypofunction (one-sided or both-sided)
- Persistent dizziness after concussion
- Motion sensitivity
- Cervicogenic dizziness (neck-related)
- Imbalance and gait issues from inner-ear causes
What to expect
- Detailed evaluation including vestibular and balance testing — we identify what's actually triggering your dizziness
- If BPPV: targeted repositioning maneuver during the visit, often with substantial relief same-day
- If broader vestibular dysfunction: a structured program of gaze stabilization, habituation, and balance exercises
- Home program updated each visit so progress continues between sessions
